The bus
This is the reason so many travellers route through Querétaro. Departures leave through the day from the Central de Autobuses de Querétaro, take about an hour to an hour and a half depending on the service, and rarely need booking outside major holidays.

In San Miguel itself the car becomes a liability — cobbled, steep one-way streets and little parking. Take your hotel''s parking if it has any, otherwise use a paid lot and walk. Arriving in San Miguel
The bus station is on the edge of town, a five to ten minute taxi ride from the centre. Taxis wait outside; fares within town are short and inexpensive, and it is normal to agree the price first.
