Guanajuato Local Hub operates guanajuatoconnect.com, an independent guide to businesses and events across Guanajuato, Mexico. This policy applies to visitors browsing the site, people who contact us or message a business through it, people who use the on-site chat assistant, and business owners with accounts. Questions? • Pages you view: the path, the page you came from, and where you leave — recorded against a random session ID, not your name or any profile.
• How you read: scroll depth and time spent on a page, so we can see which guides are actually useful.
• What we never do: no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting — and we never sell data.

• What is stored: the messages you type into the on-site chat assistant. They are kept so the conversation continues as you move between pages — and, if you are signed in, when you come back.
• How it is used: to answer your questions and to improve the assistant's answers. Chats are not published and are not visible to other visitors or businesses.
• Your control: you can ask us to delete your chat history at any time by emailing hola@guanajuatoconnect.com.

• When you contact us or a business: we store the name, email address, and message you send, so we can respond and keep a record of the request.
• Subscriptions: if you ask for insights or updates, we store your email to deliver them. No marketing lists without your opt-in, and every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
• Delivery health: we record delivery events such as bounces so we can stop emailing addresses that no longer work.

• Account data: email address, display name, and (if you provide one) a profile photo.
• Listings: whatever you choose to publish about your business — name, category, location, contact details, photos, videos, and links. This is public by design.
• Billing: subscription status and plan. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store them.

We do not sell or rent personal data. Data is shared only with the providers needed to run the service:

• Managed backend — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Stripe — subscription billing.
• Google Maps Platform — maps and place data for listings.
• AI provider — chat text is processed by the AI service that powers the assistant to generate replies.
• WhatsApp — used only when you choose to message a business through the public link it publishes.

• Analytics: stored anonymously and used only in aggregate — for example, which guides are read most. We cannot link it back to you.
• Contact records: kept as long as needed to handle your request, plus a reasonable record period.
• Your browser: the only storage we set is essential: keeping you signed in and remembering your language.
• Deletion requests: email hola@guanajuatoconnect.com and we will delete your personal data; public reviews may be kept in anonymized form to protect rating integrity.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will note them on this page with a new effective date.
