Mercado Hidalgo
Guanajuato's main traditional market and one of its most recognizable landmarks. Built as a railway station and inaugurated in 1910 by Porfirio Díaz for the Independence centennial, the two-floor iron-and-glass hall has three entrances and packs produce stands, candy and preserves, artisan crafts, souvenirs and food counters under one roof. One block from Jardín Reforma on Avenida Juárez.
